Southwestern Oregon Veterans Outreach
Mission, Vision, and Goal
Mission
To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise “To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan” by serving and honoring the men and women who are America’s Veterans.”
Vision
To provide an enhanced quality of life for our client base and our communities by connecting our client base with housing, healthcare, education, benefits, emergency aid, disability information, pension information, widows’ benefits, long term care, drug and alcohol treatment, and perhaps most importantly, a hand up, not a handout, for those who have given so much for our Country.
Goal
Our unwavering commitment is to support veterans, active-duty military, National Guard, Reserve members, their families, and survivors. We strive to provide assistance and resources to help them navigate the daily challenges that arise from their dedicated service and sacrifice to our country.
We understand the unique difficulties faced by those who have served and their loved ones, and our goal is to offer comprehensive support to address these needs. From offering meeting spaces for counseling and referrals for crisis intervention to providing financial assistance and community programs, we are here to ensure that no veteran or military family faces these challenges alone.
SOVO is dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of our military community by delivering compassionate and effective assistance, ensuring they receive the recognition and support they deserve. Our mission is to stand by them, providing a helping hand up, not a handout, and a beacon of hope in their times of need.
