We understand that the transition to civilian life can come with unique challenges, and we’re here to make that journey a bit easier by offering a reliable source of firewood.

About Us
Who We Are

Firewood for Vets is committed to supporting veterans and their families. Our initiative began with a simple idea—providing firewood to those who have served our country. Glenn from Perry’s Supply started this heartfelt project, using his shop’s resources, including space, equipment, and supplies, to get it off the ground. His dedication and generosity have been the backbone of this mission.

Over the years, we have grown into a community-driven effort, helping veterans stay warm during the colder months while also offering a token of appreciation for their service. Thanks to Glenn’s vision and the collective efforts of our community, we continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans and their families.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide free firewood to veterans, allowing them time needed to secure enough wood to get them through, ensuring they have a safe and warm environment. We believe that no veteran should have to worry about staying warm, especially after sacrificing so much for our nation. Our goal is to spread warmth, both literally and figuratively, across our veteran community.

How It Works
Firewood Distribution

Eligibility: Veterans or spouse of deceased veterans can apply for our program by contacting us. We aim to make the process as simple and straightforward as possible.

Collection and Delivery: Once approved, veterans can collect firewood from our designated locations or opt for home delivery. Our volunteers are always ready to lend a helping hand.

Seasonal Support: We provide firewood year-round, with a focus on preparing for and during the winter months. Our priority is to help our veterans stay warm and cozy throughout the winter by providing support with firewood as they work to secure enough wood for the entire season. Your warmth is our priority, and we’re here to assist you in ensuring you have what you need.

Community Involvement

Volunteer Opportunities: We welcome volunteers from all walks of life to join our mission. Whether it’s cutting, splitting, stacking, or delivering firewood, every bit of help makes a difference.

Donations: Generous donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations make our work possible. Your support helps us purchase equipment, cover transportation costs, and expand our reach.
